Synopsis: New freshmushrooms growkits

Grow your own Magic Mushrooms with these 100% Mycelium Kits by Freshmushrooms. All kits are filled with 100% mycelium only and will guarantee a large harvest of fresh mushrooms. These kits are very easy to grow. No fillers! Freshmushrooms growkits come in 1200ml and 2100ml kits.

Freshmushrooms has been manufacturing Psilocybe cubensis grow kits for more than 25 years. During this period, we have optimised our kits to perfection and have expanded to no less than 11 different strains.

Psilocybe cubensis

The Psilocybe cubensis is a psychedelic mushroom. This means that the active substance in this mushroom creates euphoria, visual hallucinations and general changes in perception. In the Netherlands, this type of mushroom is also known as Mexican because it is often found in Mexico. Since the cubensis is easy to grow, it is currently one of the most popular natural psychedelics. The cubensis itself is banned in the Netherlands but the grow kits are 100% legally available.

History and naming

The introduction of the Psilocybe cubensis in the ‘modern world’ began in 1957 when Robert Gordon Wasson came to Huautla de Jiménez in Mexico and experienced a Velada session by María Sabina there. Velada is a religious ritual in which use is made of Psilocybe mushrooms. After this ‘encounter’ with the mushroom, more and more experiments took place.

The P. cubensis (Earle) Singer, a species that grows on compost, was found for the first time in Cuba. This species was first described in 1906 as Stropharia cubensis by Franklin Sumner Earle. A year later, in 1907, it was identified by Narcisse Theophile Patouillard as Naematoloma caerulescens. Much later in 1941, the mushroom was named Stropharia cyanescens by William Alphonso Murrill. These synonyms were later grouped into Psilocybe cubensis.

The generic name Psilocybe comes from the Greek word ‘psilos’, which means ‘bald’ and ‘kube’, which means ‘head’. The literal name corresponds to ‘bald head’, which probably has to do with the appearance of the mushroom. Cubensis means ‘from Cuba’.

Extremely high potency

Rich in psilocin

This photo clearly shows that Freshmushrooms do not have hollow stems but are solid and contain a lot of (blue) psilocin. Of course, a mushroom is a natural product and some mushrooms contain more active substances than others in the same species. However, we invite you to compare them with other grow kit brands.
